The transcription of the baptism registers includes SURNAME, FORENAMES, PARENTS, OCCUPATION, ABODE, BAPTISM DATE, and BIRTH DATE (if given).
The transcription of the banns register includes only the SURNAME, FORENAMES, STATUS, PARISH for each party and DATE OF LAST BANNS and the MARRIAGE DATE (if given).
The transcription of the marriage register 1826-1837 includes the SURNAME, FORENAMES, OCCUPATIONS and PARISH of both parties and the MARRIAGE DATE. From 1837-1935 only the SURNAME and FORENAMES of both parties and the MARRIAGE DATE are given.
The transcription of the burial register includes SURNAME, FORENAMES, AGE, ABODE, BURIAL DATE, and DESCRIPTION (e.g. parents, relationship to other people, place where the person died, etc.).
The registers commence in 1826/7, and the 100 year rule has been applied whereby no one who would be less than 100 years old in 2010, the date of publication, has been included.
There are three sets of transcriptions of the monumental inscriptions: those recorded by Arthur Blackburn in the 1920s, those recorded by Mr E. Trolley in the late 1980s and also recordings made in 2008.
If you are searching for ancestors who lived in the Allerton, Clayton, Denholme, Thornton or Wilsden districts of Bradford you will be interested in this publication, although there are many people who came from other parts of Bradford and beyond.
All the data is in PDF format which is fully searchable. PDF files require Adobe Reader to be installed on the users computer and a copy of Adobe Reader Version 6 for Windows is included on the CD.
